At Southern Illinois Pet Sitters, we understand how much caring pet owners do for their pets. You can't always take your pet with you on trips or to your workplace, but you can keep your pets together in their own comfortable, clean, safe home. While some pets do perfectly well in a kennel environment or a pet motel with group play, others do not. Some pet owners are uneasy sending their pets away.

I know no one wants to start seriously thinking about the holidays yet, but they really are just around the corner.

SHELTER PET OF THE WEEK

Southern Illinois Pet Sitters is delighted to be sponsoring a "Pet of the Week" to help support several local shelters.

This week's "Pet of the Week," Minnie Mouse" comes to us from Marion Regional Humane Society.

Minnie Mouse is a 1 1/2 year old Rat Terrier. She weighs 6 lb, and is house and crate trained. She is a very sweet and gentle girl. Minnie loves playing and would do well with other dogs as well as children. She is up to date on her shots and has been spayed.

News on Boarding

I have received a number of requests for boarding. Therefore, we are now doing a trial of boarding on a limited and case-by-case basis. We are not a kenneling facility and realistically cannot board more than 1 dog at a time while still providing the best possible quality care for the boarder as well as meeting my pet sitting obligations; therefore, until we are able to build a separate kennel facility and hire staff your pet will be boarded in our home.
